Apricorn Outs 640GB Aegis Bio Portable HDD

Storage July 15th, 2010

Apricorn has once again expanded its Aegis Bio portable HDD line-up by adding the 640GB model. Unlike most portable hard drives, this hardware-encrypted biometric hard drive makes use of UPEK’s Fingerprint Touch Sensor Strip Allowing users to securely access their files with the swipe of a finger. Not only that, the drive thus boasts a built-in real-time 128-bit AES hardware encryption, a USB 2.0 interface and a 16-point omni-directional shock mounting system which protects the drive from accidental drops and bumps. The 640GB Aegis Bio can be yours for $ 159.
